UK Move Checklist is a free moving planner and guide site. This page explains what information is used when you visit and the choices you have. Cookies are covered in more detail in our Cookie Policy.

Your moving plan stays on your device

You don't need an account to use the planner. Your answers and ticked tasks are saved in your browser's local storage so your plan is there when you come back. They are not sent to us, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Analytics (optional)

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how people use the site — for example which pages are visited and how people find us — so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type.

Analytics is off unless you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you chooseReject optional, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with theCookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Hosting

Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details when it delivers pages to you, so that the site works and stays secure.

Our guides link to official services such as GOV.UK and to other organisations. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
